"UNT Speaks Out" is a project that was created as an opportunity to combine journalism, advocacy, and education in honor of sexual assault awareness month. The project was done to show that sexual assault can happen to anyone. Advocacy of any issues lies within the stories of people who want to take a stand against their adversities. UNT students Cherita Cunningham, Claudia Hullett, Mahalia Agyepong, and Ariana White are the four women that shared their stories as survivors of sexual assault. Sharing their stories was not easy furthering the importance of survivors, surviving together.
